The sound quality is good and the headset is compact and nice looking. I've twice tried BlueAnt customer service to get earpiece replaced.
This wouldn't be so bad except that the headset is under warranty and the replacement part that they think I should buy is relatively expensive. In both cases, after much discussion, they've promised to send a replacement part but in neither case have they done so.
I got the Z9 for Christmas last year. I got about the same 4 to 5 months of usage the others got before it just broke down and came apart.
This in not a good headset to get if you want to use it frequently unless you don't mind buying your replacement parts that should be covered under the warranty. I have used it quite a bit for conference calls at work.
However, as other reviewers have said, the earpiece (that is the rubber "doughnut" that seals the headpiece into your ear) is not durable.
The Plantronics 510 is much easier to use to with multiple devices. The buttons are easy to access, it's comfortable, small and less ugly than most. It has voice activation settings but neither of them worked for me.
Right out of the box, it did not work, only weird noises, I called customer services and it had older firmware. Finally it works and I can hear well. I bought this because works for more than one device.
No one can hear me or the sound made them so uncomfortable, they did not want to continue the conversation, even my mother. I can't recommend this. I had to update it and you talk about complicated.
However customer service was great, much better than most.
The sound on my end is good but not great. But I'm told the sound is great on the other end. This is a great headset, works well with iPhone. My only complaint is that I can't control the volume from my iPhone, it must be done on the headset.
It is comfortable to wear. Everyone says they can hear me clearly when I use it and I understand clarity is the big issue with blue tooth systems. I often forget that I have it on. Works well. I'm very happy with it.
to use but we wanted a brand new one. In great shape and it probably would have been o.k. So if it isn't brand new just state that on the page. We ordered this product with the impression and knowledge that it was a brand new product. When we got the z9 bluetooth headset it was not in the original box and it had been used.
